Somerset Elementary school is well known for diversity.  42% of Somerset students speak a language other than English, with 18 languages represented in our school. To present and observe our diversity, our Annual Multi-Culture Week will be celebrated in the week of May 13th to May 17th. This year’s theme is Music Around the World!

We will have classroom activities led by our parent volunteers (more information will be announced soon). In addition, we will finish the week with our annual Festival of Cultures from 6:00pm to 8:30pm on Friday, May 17th in our cafeteria. During this festival, we will have a multi-cultural clothes parade, stage performances, international food, and booth displays, etc. Please mark your calendar for this fun week. Students will learn about different cultures while enjoying activities.

 
 

Our mission is to support the education, health, and welfare of each and every child at Somerset Elementary School. As part of the Washington State PTA, we are a nonprofit membership association bringing together the home, school, and community on behalf of our children.
