Please consider volunteering during our students’ lunch recess. During this time we need parents on the playground monitoring the students and helping with the playground equipment. It's a fun way to help out, and a great way to be involved in your child's school day! You may choose to volunteer as often as you'd like.
Lunch recesses run from 11:45-1:05 daily and is split into three groups.
*1st Recess 11:45-12:05 for 1st and 4th grades
*2nd Recess 12:15-12:35 for Kindergarten and 3rd grades
*3rd Recess 12:45-1:05 for 2nd and 5th grades
We would like to have one or two volunteers each day to help out. We have over 700 students on the playground during this time, so the additional volunteers are crucial to making this time run smoothly for our school.
Our mission is to support the education, health, and welfare of each and every child at Somerset Elementary School. As part of the Washington State PTA, we are a nonprofit membership association bringing together the home, school, and community on behalf of our children.
