Online purchase of additional tickets are closed.

If you plan to attend, please still RSVP for your entire party of trick or treaters so we can accurately plan for the event. Limited quantities of tickets will be available for purchase at the event (at the PTSA table) for $2; exact cash only please.

Trunk Host signups are now closed.

Volunteer signups are still open - we are still looking for volunteers and would love if you could sign up!

Please contact SomersetPTSA.pres@gmail.com if you would still like to host a trunk.

Note: The school will not be open (no bathroom access), but there will be 1 port-a-potty available by the field.

Note: Please be considerate of our school neighbors, do not block driveways when parking around the neighborhood.

What is Trunk or Treat? A fun, family-friendly spin on the classic Halloween Trick-or-Treat tradition, Trunk-or-Treat offers a safe space for students to celebrate Halloween with their school community (on easier terrain, too)!

The idea is simple: Trunk Hosts park their cars in the Somerset parking lot and decorate their open trunks for display. Then Trick-or-Treaters arrive and walk from vehicle to vehicle, collecting candy the way they would during a normal trick-or-treating outing.

How Do I Participate?

Host a Trunk!

Want to be part of the action, hand out some treats, and maybe even win a contest? We are looking for spirited Somerset families and staff to sign up as Trunk Hosts to display their decorated Trunks for all to admire! Turn your vehicle trunk into a spooktacular exhibit for families to enjoy while collecting treats.

Participants will automatically be entered into our first-annual Best Trunk contest!

Sign up here to be a Trunk Host.

Come as a Trick-or-Treater!

RSVP here to join in on the fun!

All Somerset students will receive a free ticket to trick-or-treat. Additional trick-or-treat tickets are available for purchase (for siblings, etc.) on the RSVP page for $2 each. Attendees who are not trick-or-treating do NOT need a ticket.

We welcome attendees to come and go as their schedules allow, but request that families try to arrive during one of their students time slots, if possible. This helps us limit traffic and crowding and makes the event more enjoyable for all.

Participants are encouraged to come in their favorite costume or outfit as they parade through the parking lot admiring trunks and collecting treats!

Donate Treats!

If you are able, please consider donating treats that our Trunk Hosts can hand out at the event. Somerset Elementary has over 600 students, so your sweet support would help greatly! Candy is welcome (must be store-bought, individually-wrapped, and unopened), but age-appropriate, non-candy treats (such as temporary tattoos, stickers, pencils, erasers, glow sticks, etc.) would be extra amazing!

Treat Donation Box will be placed in the Somerset Elementary office for parents and students to drop off donations. Thank you!

 Volunteer!

As always, we need your help to make this event a success! Click here to sign up as an event volunteer.  Please note, all volunteers must be PTSA members, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and have a completed BSD background check.
